On June 3rd, over 100 women came together to celebrate at our Women of Hope Victory Luncheon. It was a joy to see so many women supporting the mission and enjoying a wonderful lunch, silent auction and a great fashion show by Flourish Boutique and Gallery. Tricia Sloma of WNDU-TV Morning Show was our guest emcee for the day. At the event, an additional 20 women signed up to become Women of Hope! We also with to thank “Flourish Boutique and Gallery” for their providing the fashion show and a portion of sales to our event!!
The 2010 Annual Women of Hope Campaign (associated with the Victory Luncheon) began last April and is continuing on throughout the summer and fall. More than 50 women have already committed to donating or raising $100 toward this campaign that to date, has raised more than $14,000! We were doubly blessed to receive a generous matching contribution for the first $5,000 raised by an anonymous business owner.
You can still become a Woman of Hope and help us reach our $15,000.00 goal! By doing so, you will be providing direct support to a mother and her children as they enter the Bridge of Hope program to find security and hope.

As Christians, we all know that God provides in abundance. Our St. Joseph County affiliate of Bridge of Hope continues to witness His unlimited supply of blessings as the years progress.
In September of 2007, our prayerful group held an introductory meeting that was led and facilitated by Edith Yoder, Executive Director and Joy Sawatzky, Affiliate Start-Up Consultant with Bridge of Hope National. With the Lord’s help they said that we had record-breaking attendance!
In October of 2009, one year after we officially became an affiliate, we held our first annual fundraiser. We had hopes of raising about $10,000, but were told that with a first-time event for an organization that was virtually unknown in our community, we were not likely to bring in that amount. To our surprise, our net income exceeded $25,000! God truly blessed us with generous people.
This March 2010, we hired our Executive Director. She hit the ground running and by June our first family was interviewed and selected. We were told by BOH National that this process had never been completed so quickly by any other affiliate.
Our St. Joseph County Affiliate board members and staff do not take credit for this great success, but attribute it to God’s gracious provisions and perfect timing. To Him be the glory, great things He has done!
